With five vans, the day's routes fit in one person's head. With fifteen, that person is the weak point of the operation: the Monday they're off, deliveries leave late and nobody knows why the 9:00 customer gets their order at 12:30.

So beyond how the software calculates a route, what matters is what it does when coverage drops in an industrial park, when a customer disputes a delivery, or when orders come from the ERP instead of a spreadsheet.

We compared eight options through that lens, for delivery companies in Spain running 5 to 25 vans. Routal wrote this, and Routal is one of the eight. To keep it useful even if you don't pick us, we only used what each vendor publishes on its own website, checked on 15 October 2026 and linked at the end. When a website doesn't say something, we write "not stated", which is not the same as "not available".

The short answer

There's no single winner for every fleet. With 5–25 vans in Spain, what separates the options most is how they charge, which language they support you in, and what happens when the driver loses signal:

  • Spanish-language product, published per-vehicle price in euros and a driver app that works offline: Routal, or AntsRoute from its Essential plan.
  • Spanish vendor with ready-made integrations for ERPs and carriers: Logístiko, with a custom quote.
  • Volume that goes up and down, and you'd rather pay per order or per stop: Routific or Spoke Dispatch, with the planner in English.
  • Deliveries mixed with field technicians, or loads measured in pallets, weight and volume at once: OptimoRoute.
  • A very broad catalogue and a price negotiated with sales: Route4Me.
  • You also deliver in Latin America, or your fleet is 5 vehicles or fewer: SimpliRoute.

The profiles start with the Spanish vendors and then move to those operating from abroad. It's not a ranking.

What we compared

With 5–25 vans, these six things are what break the day when they fail:

  • Time windows and capacities. If the software doesn't know a customer only receives between 8:00 and 10:00, or that a van can't carry more than 1,000 kg, the route looks fine on the map and is impossible on the street.
  • Driver app without coverage. Garages, basements, industrial parks, rural areas. If the app goes blank without signal, the delivery is logged on paper and the data arrives late or never.
  • Proof of delivery. Photo and signature with time and place. It settles a complaint without phone calls and protects the driver.
  • ERP integration or API. If orders are copied by hand from the ERP, whatever you save planning you lose typing.
  • Spanish-language support. When the route breaks at 7:30, it matters who answers and in what language.
  • Published price. What it costs before the first sales call, and whether you pay per vehicle, per driver or per order.

We added a seventh data point: real-time tracking and customer notifications with an estimated time of arrival.

The eight options, one by one

Routal

A delivery management platform founded in Barcelona in 2015. The idea: a delivery operation that doesn't depend on one person, with planning, driver app, tracking and proof of delivery in one system.

  • Time windows and capacities: yes. Optimization accounts for time windows, vehicle capacity (weight and volume) and driver skills.
  • Without coverage: yes. Full offline mode: drivers navigate, capture proof of delivery and close the route without signal, and everything syncs when the connection returns.
  • Proof of delivery: photo, signature, PIN code, barcode and custom forms, with GPS stamp and time.
  • ERP and API: REST API and webhooks included in the Standard plan (public documentation), plus connectors for SAP, Shopify, WooCommerce and Oracle WMS, among others. Custom integrations are part of Enterprise.
  • Spanish: product, app and support in Spanish, with a customer experience (CX) person assigned to every account; team in Spain, Mexico and Portugal.
  • Tracking and notifications: every vehicle's position on the dashboard, an estimated arrival time that updates itself, and customer notifications by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • Published price: €199/month with 4 vehicles included and €49 per additional vehicle, excluding VAT, month to month with no lock-in. 10-day trial, no card required (pricing).

A good fit if you want to plan, execute and prove every delivery in the same system, with someone at Routal who knows your account and a price you know upfront. Keep in mind that Standard includes one planner user (each extra user adds €5/month) and that real-time traffic is an extra (€10 per vehicle). The month of guided onboarding comes with Enterprise, which is quoted.

Logístiko

A last-mile route optimizer founded in Málaga in 2020 for distributors and retail. Besides your own deliveries, it integrates with parcel carriers and has a module for Spain's digital transport control document (DeCA).

  • Time windows and capacities: yes. Customer time slots, maximum load and volume per driver, and a maximum number of stops.
  • Without coverage: not stated.
  • Proof of delivery: signature, photo and barcode scanning.
  • ERP and API: public REST API with webhooks (documentation) and integrations with ERPs (SAP, Sage, Dynamics 365, Navision…), online stores (Shopify, PrestaShop, WooCommerce) and carriers such as Correos, SEUR, MRW or GLS.
  • Spanish: company and team in Málaga; support is handled by people, not bots.
  • Tracking and notifications: real-time tracking and customer notifications by WhatsApp, email or SMS, with estimated time and a tracking link.
  • Published price: from €200/month, with no unit or plans; anything else is quoted based on your monthly shipment volume. 14-day trial after a demo (pricing).

A good fit if you want a Spanish vendor with many ready-made integrations, especially with carriers and ERPs common in Spain.

AntsRoute

French software (Nancy, 2015) for last-mile delivery, field service and home care, which explains its appointment features and booking website.

  • Time windows and capacities: yes. Customer opening hours on every plan; capacity-based optimization from Essential.
  • Without coverage: yes. It presents its mobile app as available in offline mode.
  • Proof of delivery: comments, photos, barcode and signature, from Essential (Lite doesn't include it).
  • ERP and API: REST API and webhooks from Essential, plus connectors for WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Odoo and Zapier.
  • Spanish: website, help center and app in Spanish. No office or support team in Spain is stated.
  • Tracking and notifications: tracking on every plan; email or SMS notifications from Essential (5,000 SMS for €300); a tracking link for the customer only on Pro and Enterprise.
  • Published price: Lite €34, Essential €54 and Pro €74 per vehicle per month, excluding VAT, monthly with no commitment, with 50% off the first month. 7-day free trial, no card required (pricing).

A good fit if you want a published per-vehicle price in euros and combine deliveries with visits or field service. Keep in mind that the plan for a complete delivery operation, with proof of delivery, notifications and API, is Essential, not Lite.

Spoke Dispatch

Circuit's product for teams (London), built for courier companies. It charges per stop, with unlimited drivers.

  • Time windows and capacities: time windows on every plan; capacity only as a maximum vehicle weight.
  • Without coverage: not stated for the Dispatch app.
  • Proof of delivery: signature and photos on every plan (5 photos per stop on Starter, 10 on the others).
  • ERP and API: API and webhooks on every plan (documentation), plus Shopify and Zapier. No ERP connectors named.
  • Spanish: driver app in Spanish; website and planner dashboard in English.
  • Tracking and notifications: live tracking of every route and SMS or email notifications with a tracking link on every plan; a branded tracking page from Premium.
  • Published price: Starter $125/month with 1,000 stops (extra stop $0.04), Premium $200/month with 2,000 ($0.06) and Expert $1,000/month with 12,000 ($0.07), billed monthly (pricing).

A good fit if you prefer paying per stop with unlimited drivers and your team is comfortable with an English dashboard. Keep in mind that a stop is charged even when the delivery fails.

OptimoRoute

A US company (Palo Alto) for delivery and field service. Its strength is constraints: it handles four types of capacity at once.

  • Time windows and capacities: yes. Customer time windows and capacity by boxes, weight, volume and pallets.
  • Without coverage: yes. The driver app works without signal and sends updates when the connection returns.
  • Proof of delivery: notes, signature and photos, only on Pro and Custom.
  • ERP and API: public API on every plan (documentation). It mentions integrations with SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite or Shopify without saying whether they are its own connectors, and webhooks are not documented.
  • Spanish: website and app in Spanish and a toll-free number in Spain (900 752 296), with 24-hour support. It doesn't state the support language.
  • Tracking and notifications: live tracking on every plan; customer notifications with ETA and link only on Pro and Custom.
  • Published price: Lite $39 and Pro $49 per driver per month billed monthly ($35.10 and $44.10 billed annually). No contract or setup fee, 30-day free trial (pricing).

A good fit if you mix deliveries with technicians or your load is measured in pallets, weight and volume at once.

Routific

A Canadian company founded in 2012 for local delivery businesses. It has a single plan with every feature and charges for each order you schedule on a route, not per vehicle.

  • Time windows and capacities: yes. One time window per order and one capacity per vehicle, in a single load unit.
  • Without coverage: yes. The driver only needs to open the route with a connection; progress syncs when signal returns.
  • Proof of delivery: photos, signatures, barcodes and notes on every plan, including the free one.
  • ERP and API: API and webhooks, Shopify and Zapier integrations, and a connection for AI agents (MCP). No ERP connectors named.
  • Spanish: driver app in Spanish since February 2026; website and planner in English. Support runs from 6:00 to 17:00 Pacific time, which is afternoon and night in Spain.
  • Tracking and notifications: live tracking and ETA emails with a tracking link on every plan; SMS is an add-on priced by country.
  • Published price: free up to 100 orders a month; $150/month up to 1,000 orders; above that, from 15 down to 3 cents per order depending on volume. Unlimited drivers (pricing).

A good fit if your volume swings a lot, you work with part-time drivers or you want to start free at low volume.

Route4Me

A US veteran (Tampa, 2009) with a very broad catalogue (territories, multi-depot, route simulation) sold as packages and add-ons.

  • Time windows and capacities: yes, but according to its package table, time windows start at Business Optimization, not in the base package. Capacity by volume, weight and pieces, also from Business Optimization.
  • Without coverage: yes. Once the route has been opened with signal, drivers can update stop statuses and capture proof of delivery offline.
  • Proof of delivery: signature, photos, video and notes in every package.
  • ERP and API: API and SDKs in several languages; webhooks require an add-on, and ERP and e-commerce connectors are on request.
  • Spanish: website partly in Spanish and driver app in Spanish. It's unclear whether support is available in Spanish.
  • Tracking and notifications: live GPS and email notifications with ETA and link; SMS is a paid add-on.
  • Published price: not shown. Its three packages (Route Optimization, Business Optimization and Enterprise Optimization) point to sales. 7-day free trial (packages).

A good fit if you need a very broad catalogue and have time to configure modules.

SimpliRoute

Born in Chile in 2014 as a University of Chile project, it presents itself as a reference in Latin America, with more than 1,200 customer companies. Its website and help center are in Latin American Spanish.

  • Time windows and capacities: yes. Up to two time windows per visit and up to three loads per vehicle, for example kilos and volume.
  • Without coverage: yes. According to its help center, the driver can finish the route offline and sync at the end.
  • Proof of delivery: photo, signature and barcode, from the Lite plan.
  • ERP and API: REST API, webhooks and integrations (Zapier, Shopify, VTEX or SAP Business One) from the Pro plan; webhooks are configured by its support team.
  • Spanish: website, help center and app in Spanish, and chat support inside the platform. No office in Spain is stated.
  • Tracking and notifications: real-time tracking and email with a tracking link from Lite; SMS and WhatsApp from Pro, priced by volume.
  • Published price: in its help center, €53.90 per vehicle excluding VAT in Europe on the Lite plan, which covers up to 5 vehicles. From 6 vehicles (Pro plan), custom pricing (plans and pricing).

A good fit if you also deliver in Latin America or your operation fits in 5 vehicles. Keep in mind that with 6 vans or more you move to Pro, with a quoted price.

One we looked at and left out: Onfleet

Onfleet (San Francisco) is built for on-demand delivery and high volumes: auto-dispatch, an offline mode (it has to be switched on) and a driver app in Spanish. We left it out because its entry plan starts at $619/month with 2,500 tasks and advanced route optimization starts on the $1,349/month plan (pricing). For 5–25 vans it's usually more than you need.

What a 10-van fleet costs

Every vendor charges differently: per vehicle, per driver, per order or per stop. To compare them, we assumed 10 vans making 40 deliveries a day for 22 days: 8,800 deliveries a month. These are monthly prices excluding taxes, in each vendor's published currency (we don't convert dollars to euros), using the first plan that includes proof of delivery:

  • Routal (Standard): €493/month (€199 with 4 vehicles plus 6 × €49).
  • AntsRoute (Essential): €540/month (10 × €54); half price the first month.
  • OptimoRoute (Pro): $490/month billed monthly (10 × $49), or $441 billed annually.
  • Spoke Dispatch: $437/month on Starter ($125 plus 7,800 extra stops at $0.04) or $608 on Premium.
  • Routific: about $934/month with 8,800 orders ($150 for the first 1,000 and the rest in tiers).
  • Logístiko: from €200/month; the exact figure is quoted.
  • SimpliRoute: with 10 vehicles you're on the Pro plan, with custom pricing (up to 5 vehicles, €53.90 per vehicle).
  • Route4Me: no published price.

Two details. If you absorb a peak with the same vans, doing more stops per route, a per-vehicle price doesn't move and a per-order price does: at Routific, going to 17,600 orders takes the bill from about $934 to about $1,410. And the other way round: if some vans sit idle half the week, paying per vehicle or per driver works out worse. Do the math with your busiest month, not the average.

How to choose

  1. Do the math with your real volume. Take your busiest month of the last year and apply each pricing model. With public figures it takes ten minutes.
  2. Test the app where there's no coverage. A garage, a basement, your usual industrial park. If a delivery can't be closed without signal, better find out before signing.
  3. Check which plan includes what you use every day. At AntsRoute, proof of delivery starts at Essential; at OptimoRoute, at Pro; at Route4Me, SMS is extra. The entry price isn't always what you'll pay.
  4. Ask who answers at 7:30, and in what language. With support on US hours, an early-morning problem waits until the afternoon.
  5. Don't wait for the ERP to get started. Start with an order file and connect the API once the plan works with your data.

With two or three candidates, test them with your worst real day, not the demo example. We explain how in five tests before you sign for route planning software. And if you want to see how Routal handles it with your data, book a demo.

Frequently asked questions

Which route planning software should a 5–25 van delivery fleet choose?+

One that meets six basics with your own data: time windows and capacities, a driver app that works offline, photo and signature proof of delivery, an API or ERP connection, support in your language and a price you can calculate. The eight options compared cover almost all of it; they differ in pricing model, language and which plan includes each feature.

How much does route planning software cost for 10 vans?+

With prices published as of 15 October 2026 and 8,800 deliveries a month, excluding taxes: Routal €493, AntsRoute Essential €540, OptimoRoute Pro $490, Spoke Dispatch $437 to $608 and Routific about $934. Logístiko starts at €200/month; SimpliRoute (from 6 vehicles) and Route4Me don't publish prices.

Which delivery driver apps work without coverage?+

According to their own documentation: Routal, AntsRoute, OptimoRoute, Routific, Route4Me and SimpliRoute, plus Onfleet once enabled. Spoke Dispatch and Logístiko don't state it on their websites. Either way, test it in your hardest area before signing.

Which route planning tools offer support in Spanish?+

Routal and Logístiko are Spanish companies and support customers in Spanish; Routal also assigns a CX person to every account. SimpliRoute has its website, help center and app in Latin American Spanish. AntsRoute and OptimoRoute have Spanish websites and apps, and Routific, Route4Me and Spoke Dispatch a Spanish driver app; none of these five states its support language.

Is it better to pay per vehicle, per driver or per delivery?+

It depends on your volume. Per vehicle or per driver, the fee stays the same even if the same fleet does more stops. Per order or per stop, you pay less in quiet months and more at peaks. Do the math with your busiest month, not the average.

Key takeaways

Eight options compared using only what each vendor publishes on its website, as of 15 October 2026.

Almost all cover time windows, proof of delivery and an API: what changes is which plan includes them and how they charge.

For 10 vans, published fees range from $437 to about $934 a month, and from €493 to €540 for vendors that charge in euros.

What separates them most: the pricing model, the support language and what the app does without coverage.

Before signing, test them with your worst real day and in your no-coverage zone.
