What's new in Routal Planner: Fleet, Messages and Connectors

Each vehicle's performance and route history now live in Fleet, you can top up your messaging balance from the module, and Connectors brings every integration together, Claude MCP included. It's already live in your project.

Three changes in Routal Planner, already live in every project: Fleet, Automated messages and Connectors. There's nothing to switch on. All three point the same way: what you need to make a decision is inside Routal, without building a spreadsheet or waiting on support.

Fleet: how each vehicle is doing, on one screen

Until now, checking how a vehicle was doing meant jumping between sections. Fleet now shows each vehicle's routes, completed and canceled stops, distance, time on route and a diagnosis, for whatever period you pick.

At the top, the period totals compare what happened with what was planned: kilometers driven against planned, and actual route time against expected. When the gap is wide, the plan doesn't match the street, and that's the first place to look.

Each vehicle's detail, in two tabs

  • Summary. An automatic diagnosis of the last 30 days, with completion rate, cancellation rate, stops per hour and distance driven. Each figure is compared with the previous period and with your fleet's median.
  • Routes. The vehicle's full route history.

The diagnosis tells you in one line whether the vehicle is within your fleet's normal range and where it ranks on stops per hour and completion rate. When a vehicle shows a warning, start with its routes: whether they were overloaded, whether the area has difficult access, or whether the time windows fit in the shift. The history is in the next tab.

Automated messages: what goes out, when, and through which channel

Notifications to your customers work the same way, and the ones you had already set up stay active. What changes is how they're shown: a table with the event that triggers each message (route started, delivery completed, delivery canceled), whether it's enabled, and the channel it goes out on. You'll find it in Project settings, under Communication.

Top up your balance from the module

You can now top up your messaging balance yourself, from the module, whenever you need to: choose the amount, check the final balance and pay. Until now you had to write to us. If you'd rather not keep an eye on it, set up automatic top-up.

SMS and WhatsApp notifications draw on that balance. If it hits zero first thing in the morning, your customers go without updates and the "where's my order?" calls come back. With top-up in the module, that no longer depends on someone remembering to ask for it.

Connectors: every integration in one panel

Connectors brings together everything that links Routal to the rest of your operation. Each integration shows its status (connected, active or not yet enabled), so knowing what's running no longer depends on asking whoever set it up.

  • Stop import. Your Tipsa depot's daily delivery manifest, or stops from a Google Sheets spreadsheet in your Drive.
  • Communication. WhatsApp, SMS and email for your customer notifications. Email is included with Routal.
  • Developers. The Routal API, the same one the planner runs on; webhooks that send route and stop events to your systems as they happen; and the Claude MCP integration.

New: ask Claude about your operation

With Claude MCP you ask Claude about your routes, stops and drivers in your own words, with no data exports or reports to build. For example:

  • What were the most common cancellation reasons this week?
  • Which of yesterday's stops were left pending or incomplete?
  • How many deliveries were closed with a photo or signature this month?

You'll find it in Connectors, under Developers. If you're building your own integration, the API docs are at developers.routal.com, and this article covers integrating Routal when AI writes the code.

Getting the most out of it

Write to your Customer Success manager and we'll go through it on your operation. If you don't use Routal yet, get in touch and we'll show you with your own data.
