What is the actual difference between Routal and Logístiko?
Both are Spanish platforms and both optimize with time windows, capacity, zones and vehicle types. The difference is scope. Logístiko presents itself as a last-mile route optimizer with a modular catalogue switched on to fit each operation. Routal is a delivery management platform: the route is one piece, and around it sit dispatch, live tracking, proof of delivery, customer notifications and analytics. If what you are missing is better planning, either will serve you. If what you are missing is an operation that no longer depends on phone calls and a parallel spreadsheet, that is a different conversation.
What does Logístiko do better?
Three things worth saying out loud. Their catalogue is modular: features are switched on and off until the product fits your operation, which removes noise for a small team. They publish rollouts in under two weeks with hands-on support. And they are entirely Spain-based, with Spanish-language support and no time zones in the way. If you run your own fleet in a single country and you mainly need good planning, Logístiko is a serious option and we are not going to pretend otherwise. We fit better when there are subcontractors, several countries, or a real need for data and end-customer experience.
How long does migrating take?
It depends on where the orders come from, not on how many routes you run. From a spreadsheet or a CSV, you plan on day one: upload the file and go. From an ERP or an e-commerce platform, budget one to three weeks including the API connection and testing. History from the old system is not migrated: you run both in parallel for a few days, compare the routes each one produces, and turn the old one off when the team has stopped opening it. Drivers are the easy part — the app takes a morning to explain.
Does it work with own and subcontracted fleets together?
Yes, and it is one of the common reasons for switching. You plan with your own fleet, assign routes to external carriers, and give them access only to their own work, with the same driver app and the same proof of delivery. At month end you get a single view for everyone: distance, stops, on-time rate, failed deliveries and cost per delivery, in-house and subcontracted in the same table. That is usually the part that breaks when an operation grows through providers.
